Am I pretty?

Am I pretty?

It’s true.

It’s true.

The woodsman and the fox

There was a woodman who used to wake up at 6 am and work all day cutting wood, stopping late at night. This woodman had a child, a few months and a fox, his friend, treated as a pet, and he used to trust in ‘his’ fox. Every day the woodcutter could out for work and let the fox looking after his child. Every night when returning from work, the fox was there, happy with his arrival. His neighboors warned that the fox was a beast, a wild animal, so, not reliable. When the fox felt hungry would eat the child. The woodsman always retorting, used to tell the neighbors that was a big nonsense. The fox was his friend and would never do that. Neighbors insisted:
- “Woodman, open your eyes! The fox will eat your child.”
- “When gets hungry, will eat your son!”
One day the woodman too exhausted from work and thinking about the comments, when he got home he saw the fox as always, smiling with mouth full of blood. The woodsman felt the cold sweat, and trusting in his eyes, only, without thinking twice hit the ax in the fox’s head… Entering the room, in despair, he found his child sleeping peacefully, in the crib and right beside, dead snake.

Moral of the Story: If you trust someone, no matter what others think about it. Always follow your path and not be swayed, and especially never make hasty decisions.
